The position of the arms of this beautiful redwood statue, and the absence of clear representation of genitalia allows us to identify the following piece as an “indigenous” christ gure. It originates from one of the Portuguese areas of colonisation in Indonesia, very probably Timor.

La position des bras de cette magni que statuette en bois rouge, et l’absence de représentation claire de son sexe, nous permettent d’identi er cet objet comme un Christ «autochtone». Il provient d’une des zones de colonisation portuguaise en Indonésie, probablement de l’île de Timor.
